AB ORLEN Lietuva posts profitable Q3 and expands sales across continental markets

In the third quarter of 2025, AB ORLEN Lietuva Group reported:

- Revenue of nearly USD 1.661 billion  
- Net profit of USD 3.5 million 
- EBITDA of USD 10.9 million 
- EBITDA LIFO of USD -6.0 million  
- Refinery capacity utilization almost 94 %. 

Compared to the same period in 2024, Q3 revenue remained stable at approximately USD 1.661 billion (versus USD 1.666 billion last year). Net profit reached USD 3.5 million – a sharp recovery from the net loss of over USD 659.0 million recorded in Q3 2024.  

AB ORLEN Lietuva also improved its other financial indicators versus the same period of the last year. Although EBITDA LIFO remained negative at USD -6 million, this marked a significant improvement from USD -671.7 million in the same period last year. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) rose to USD 10.9 million, compared to USD -656 million in the same period last year. 

‘Favorable macroeconomic conditions contributed to higher production volumes and sales, leading to stronger financial results’, said Dariusz Zonenberg, General Director of AB ORLEN Lietuva, commenting on the third-quarter performance.  ‘Sales in continental markets expanded by an average of 14 % compared to Q3: sales increased by 10 % in Latvia, 27 % in Estonia, 24 % in Poland, and 63 % in CIS countries. Sales declined slightly in Lithuania, falling by 7 %’. 

The Mažeikiai crude oil refinery processed 2.562 million tons of feedstock in Q3, utilizing almost 94 % of its capacity. Compared to the same period in 2024, the Company produced nearly 15 thousand tons more diesel, 12 thousand tons more gasoline and 12.5 tons more liquefied petroleum gas.

AB ORLEN Lietuva, a subsidiary of the Polish Concern ORLEN S.A., has long held the position of Lithuania’s largest taxpayer, including contributions through VAT and excise duties. According to data from the State Tax Inspectorate, the Company paid EUR 315.771 million in taxes during the first three quarters of this year.
