Today having renewed its vehicle fleet ORLEN Lietuva handed over a reliable and in good technical condition, however, no longer used fire fighting vehicle to Klaipėda County Fire and Rescue Board (CFRB).

Until now the fire fighting truck tank DAF 1800 was used by Mažeikiai Fire and Rescue Board located in our company territory. From now on this truck tank will replace one of Klaipėda CFRB used fire fighting vehicles ZIL.

ORLEN Lietuva General Director Ireneusz Fąfara said: ‘We care about safety of our employees and company property, therefore we invest in its renovation'.

Accepting the keys from the Company’s Manager Head of Klaipėda CFRB Gedeminas Karalius remembered, that the vehicle was acquired by the company when he was leading the Refinery fire fighters.

‘This truck was procured for Mažeikiai FRB about 15 years ago when the Soviet fire fighting vehicles used then by Mažeikiai Refinery were replaced by European ones. It was then a state-of-art fire fighting truck procured by the company', - G. Karalius said.

According to him, the truck will continue its good duties in one of Klaipėda CFRB teams. The capacity of the truck pump is 50 liters per second.
