MAZEIKIAI — Маzeikiu Nafta reported its consolidated preliminary financial results for 2005 to the Vilnius Stock Exchange.
The Company earned 929.915 million Litas (336.109 million US dollars) un-audited net profit in 2005 under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), compared to 721.883 million Litas (261.103 million US dollars) net profit earned in 2004 under the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
Company’s revenues reached 11.154 billion Litas (4 billion US dollars) in 2005, compared to 7.663 billion Litas (2.76 billion US dollars) more than in the same period last year.
Маzeikiu Nafta refined 9.25 million metric tons of crude and other feedstock in 2005, while a year before it refined 8.66 million metric tons. The refinery reached a record monthly throughput in September by processing 863 thousand metric tons of crude oil and other feedstock.
The Butinge Terminal loaded 6.12 million metric tons of crude in 2005, which is less than in 2004 (7.24 million metric tons), but more than planned quantity of 5 million metric tons.
The pipeline system transhipped 20.24 million metric tons of crude and diesel in 2005, compared to 19.66 million metric tons a year ago.
Маzeikiu Nafta collected and paid 3 billion Litas in taxes in 2005. The company also repaid 27.2 million Litas (9.7 million US dollars) in principal on long-term loans and a total of 78.2 million Litas (28 million US dollars) in interest payments, including 57.3 million Litas (20.5 million USD) in interest paid to Lithuanian state budget.
