MAZEIKIAI. AB Mazeikiu Nafta informs that the insurance companies have made the second payment in the amount of USD 40 million (LTL 94.54 million or EUR 27.38 million) in compensation of the losses caused by the 12th October 2006 fire.

The Company received the first insurance payment in the amount of USD 70 million (LTL 173.7 million or EUR 50.3 million) at the end of September 2007.

The Vacuum Distillation Unit, which suffered from the fire, was rebuilt in December 2007 and has been restarted up in January 2008. The final amount of the losses and insurance payment is being currently determined.
