VILNIUS — Today in the Presidential palace, AB Mazeikiu Nafta was awarded two medals of the Lithuanian Product of the Year Contest – 2006 held by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists: the gold medal for diesel fuel containing FAME additive (fatty acid methyl ester produced of bio component rape oil) and the silver medal for the gasoline containing ETBE additive (ethyltretbutyl ether produced of bio component ethanol).

These products are intended for Lithuanian market. Bio component additives allow reducing the total pollution and improving the fuel properties.

The medals of Lithuanian Product of the Year Contest – 2006 were presented to AB Mazeikiu Nafta General Director P. Nelson English by the President of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. Valdas Adamkus. According to P.N. English „This is a great appreciation for the work performed by our Company and its specialists. We are proud to have this award and accept it as our perfect start encouraging further development of the Company’s activities.”

It is the tenth Lithuanian Product of the Year Contest arranged in Lithuania.
