The 700th tanker has been unloaded in Būtingė Oil Terminal managed by Public Company ORLEN Lietuva. The tanker is the Russian vessel Ligovsky Prospectsailing under the flag of Liberia and belonging to the company Sovkomflot; the vessel has brought crude oil.
The tanker has delivered 104,062 tons of crude oil. The tanker is 250 long, 44 meters wide and its draught is 15 meters.
The Ligovsky Prospect approached the Company’s Oil Terminal at 7 p.m. on the 29th of April. Crude oil unloading was started on the 1st of May. It took 31 hours and 34 minutes to unload the tanker.
It is the fourth time already that the Ligovsky Prospect has come to Būtingė Oil Terminal. The tanker has already been marked with a special number – it was the number 600 tanker having moored at Būtingė Terminal.
Construction of Būtingė Oil Terminal was finished in spring of 1999, and the first tanker was loaded with crude oil in July of the same year.
Since the middle of the year 2006, after supply of crude oil to the Mažeikiai Refinery via the main crude oil pipeline Druzhba was interrupted in July, Public Company ORLEN Lietuva has been using Būtingė Terminal to import crude oil for its own needs.
8,389 million tons of crude oil was unloaded in Būtingė Terminal during the year 2009.
