On 29 September 2009, an employee of AB ORLEN Lietuva died in his place of work. At about 8 p.m., a Dispatched was found dead in the territory of Birzai Crude Oil Transshipment Station. It is believed that the sudden death occurred when the employee was inspecting equipment. The employee is suspected to have died due to acute health disorder.
Exact reasons for and circumstances of the death will be determined in the course of an investigation.
