AB Mazeikiu Nafta informs that on 31 July 2009, at 3 p.m., illegal tapping to the product pipeline Ilukste-Ventspils was detected in Biržai District, near Užušiliai forest. The illegal tap was discovered by AB Mazeikiu Nafta security guards and employees of technical services during inspection of the pipeline route. Currently the illegal tap liquidation activities are performed with engagement of the emergency response team and police. Environmental damage was avoided.
