The sponsorship program of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva for the year 2019 continues to focus on the sponsorship of sports: last week, the cooperation agreement between the only crude oil refinery in the Baltic States and Žalgiris Kaunas BC was signed for another year.

ORLEN Lietuva became the general sponsor of Žalgiris BC in spring of 2018. The support of the strong partner has been remunerated by the team in winning the 3rd place in the Euroleague Final Four, and becoming the Lithuanian Basketball League Champions for the 20th time.

‘Basketball is in the blood of our nation. It unites a number of generations’, told General Director of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva Michal Rudnicki. ‘We are happy to cooperate with the oldest national team which is the most successful basketball club in terms of trophies won. No doubt, we believe in the strength of this team and wish them the most remarkable success.’

Last Friday, over 100 employees of ORLEN Lietuva visited Žalgiris Arena to watch the triumphant match of the team in Eurolegue.
