Elimination of consequences of environmental accident in Rokiškis District

The cause of the accident – unlawful connection by unidentified persons to the petroleum products transporting pipeline. Diesel was released upon the rupture of the unlawfully connected hose on 25 March 2009 (For more information on the incident, click here).
Upon the rupture of the connecting hose, pollutants were released into the swampland valley of the Šaltoja river.
