Traditions

The Company’s employees honor and foster the traditions, which have been established since the beginning of the Company’s operations. The employees participate in the traditional events with their children and family members. Such form of leisure helps in knowing each other better, in making good relations, in improving the climate as well as in the everyday work.
The tourist gatherings, traditional veterans’ days, events for the employees’ children, sports tournaments, etc. have gained the biggest popularity.

Veterans’ Day
The Company has got a long-living tradition of honoring the employees with the term of service in Mažeikių Nafta of twenty, twenty-five and thirty years.
This traditional festival has been held for the third decade in the most beautiful season of the year — spring.

Tourist Gathering
The Company’s Tourist Gatherings provide for a good opportunity to spend several days in the sanctuary of nature, test physical powers, artistic and gastronomic abilities. All of these are required by old traditions of the Tourist Gatherings.
The tourists may test their strength in the traditional tourist techniques, tug-of-war, volleyball and other competitions and amateur performances.
Nobody gets bored here: individual contests are also organized — free throws, arm wrestling, checkers, darts, beer mug holding.
The first Tourist Gathering of Mažeikių Nafta dates back to 1980.

Sports
The Company organizes interdepartmental basketball, volleyball, tennis, darts and other tournaments for the employees. ORLEN Lietuva’s employees actively participate not only in these tournaments; they also represent the Company in the country’s competitions and other sports events.
ORLEN Lietuva’s employees have an opportunity to go in for sports or to take exercises after work in a rented sports center.
